SWEET AND SOUR PICKLED RADISH

Radishes are such a great healing food and are especially effective during the fall season. Radishes support healthy Lung, and Stomach function and are also good for your skin. This spicy food also aids the immune system. We suggest eating lots of radishes year-round!

 1 Daikon radish or purple radish
 2 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
 2 teaspoons organic sugar
 ¾ teaspoon mushroom seasoning
 1 teaspoon salt
 2 Tablespoons red or apple cider vinegar
 hot sauce, optional

Peel the radish and cut into quarters. Then chop it into thin slices. Place the sliced radish in a bowl that has a fitted lid.

Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl. Close the lid tightly and shake until all of the ingredients are incorporated and the radish is coated.

Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to mix.
