JELLY BAKED APPLES

Apples help to cool and detox the body. From a TCM perspective, eating an apple a day truly keeps the doctor away.

Yields1 Serving
 1 large apple, cored and sliced in half
 ½ teaspoon of your favorite jelly
 2 tablespoons of water
 Handful of raisins or goji berries
 Optional: Handful of nuts

Place the halved apples on a cutting board then cut into the apple to create wedges. Do not allow your knife to completely cut through the apple.

Place the apples in a baking dish.
Add the water.

Smear the jelly onto the tops of each apple.

Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes.
Remove and add raisins, goji or nuts to the tops of the apples.
Bake for an additional 15 minutes.
