HOT APPLE CIDER

 3 parts apple juice*
 1 part water
 1 cinnamon stick
 1 piece of ginger, thin slice (optional)
 Lemon zest, several thin slices (optional)
 Several whole cloves – too many makes it bitter (optional)
 Honey (optional)

Pour water and juice into a tall pot, cover with lid, and put stove heat on high.

Prep spices and then add them to pot.

Using a tea infuser to make it easier to strain out the solids later!

When the pot reaches a boil, turn down stove to low, and allow to simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove from heat and use thinly sliced lemon as decoration when ladling into mugs.

Add a small amount of honey to taste if desired.
