CINNAMON ALMOND PEARS

Pears support healthy Lung function. They moisten the Lung and help to move phlegm. Almonds also reduce phlegm and are good to aid in constipation. This recipe can also be pureed and eaten as a warm soup.

 3 pears, halved and skinned
 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
 4 slices of ginger, sliced thin
 2 cinnamon sticks-optinal
  cup of slivered almonds
 2 tablespoons of water
 Handful of almonds
 Optional: raisins or goji berries

In a pot of boiling water, blanch the pears to make it easy to remove their skins.

Add the blanched pears to a baking dish.

Sprinkle the cinnamon on top of the pears, then add the ginger and almonds.
Add the water to the baking dish.

Cover and bake for 20 minutes in a 375 degree oven.

Eat alone or add to barley cereal or mung bean cereal.
