BROCCOLI RABE AND NOODLES

In TCM, broccoli rabe is believed to have a cleansing effect on the Liver, helping to remove toxins and promote liver health. A healthy Liver is essential for overall well-being and vitality.

 1 bunch of rabe, chopped into 1 inch think slices
 12 mushrooms sliced into fourths
 2 cloves minced garlic
 1/2 pound of spaghetti noodles
 1 tablespoon of oil
 1 teaspoon of mushroom seasoning
 2 teaspoons of salt
 1 teaspoon of butter
 Black pepper to; taste

In a large pot, blanch the broccoli rabe.
When the rabe is blanched-spoon out and place in a small bowl.

Add the spaghetti to the rabe water.

Heat the wok and add the oil, and salt
Next add the mushrooms and mix for 1-2 minutes or until slightly tender.
remove from wok and place in a strainer so all liquid is reserved for future use.

Reheat the wok and add an additional 1 teaspoon of oil and the garlic. Add the strained mushrooms and broccoli rabe back into the wok.
Add the mushroom seasoning.
Toss well.

Strain the noodles and add them to the wok. Toss all ingredients together.

Add the butter and water from the mushrooms to the noodles mixture. Toss well.

Tip: To ensure your sauce sticks to the noodles, start by adding 2 teaspoons of corn starch to the mushroom water. Mix this well, then pour the mixture over the noodles and vegetables then toss well.
