BONE SOUP YOUR WAY
Bone soup is good for the Kidneys and strengthens bones. Use the broth in soups or as the liquid for making rice or other grains.
[cooked-sharing]
Rinse bones and add them to a pot of boiling water along with the onions and salt.
Lower to a simmer and let cook for 60-90 minutes.
Use this broth to make your own creative soups by adding your choice of vegetables or noodles.
Tip: To draw the full flavor of your vegetable selection out, saute them for 1-2 minutes before adding to the broth.
Some suggestions: leeks, carrots, celery, escarole, spinach, tomato, peas, radish, and beans.
To convert the broth into a hearty soup, saute a few of your favorite vegetables or beans and add some rice or noodle. Don't forget a bay leaf or other herbs. Enjoy!
