BARLEY WITH CINNAMON AND NUTS

Chinese pearl barley is a versatile food recommended in our Dragon’s Way ®program that contains anticancer and anti-obesity properties. It is also very beneficial for skin and digestive issues.

 1 cup of Chinese barley
 5 cups of water
 1 Tablespoon cinnamon
 Hand full of chopped nuts

Rinse the barley and add to boiling water.

Simmer for 45 to 60 minutes.

Be sure to keep an eye on the cereal as the water can dry out quickly. In that case, add more water.

About 15 minutes before the barley is finished cooking add the cinnamon.

Spoon barley into a bowl and top with nuts.
