Jupiter and Saturn: The Great Conjunction
Celestial Happenings
Seven hundred ninety four. That’s the number of years that have passed since Earth-goers have witnessed the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. In a great conjunction, the planets appear one tenth of a degree apart, from our vantage point on Earth. Pretty remarkable. What’s even more remarkable? This great conjunction is happening on December 21, the Winter solstice. After the solstice, energy rises, bringing light and hope. That’s not a bad way to end such a tumultuous year.
For a few days leading up to 12/21, we’ll be able to witness the planets moving closer and closer toward each other in their respective orbits. And for a few days following the event, we’ll watch the planets growing farther and farther apart.
Earthly and Energetic Connections
There are connections everywhere, whether you are aware of them or not. We are living, breathing bundles of Qi that swirl, just like the planets, the trees and the wind. As humans, we are part of the solar system. This great conjunction is not just happening around us; it’s happening within us.
Everything has a reason. Everything is connected. Jupiter is the largest planet in our solar system. Your Liver has the same frequency, energy and spirit as Jupiter. That makes you so powerful! Energetically, your Liver is one of the most important organs in your body, and is the main organ responsible for women’s health. It is also the most affected by stress.
So, if Jupiter represents your Liver, what is Saturn? Saturn has the same frequency as your digestive system—your Stomach and your Spleen. Your digestive system is not just for food, but for information. Use your heart, use your thoughts and make connections.
Can you strengthen the connection between your Liver and Jupiter and your Stomach and Spleen with Saturn? This great opportunity will not come again in your lifetime, or in many, many lifetimes to come. Take the opportunity!
The best time to see the great conjunction is right before sunset on December 21st. But be sure not to miss it! While conjunctions occur every 20 years, it’ll be another 400 years before a great conjunction occurs again. And remember, as you look up at this once-in-a-lifetime event, you must learn how to see, not just how to look.
