The interest of the classical Taoists was never in abstract concepts of what ought to be, but in discovering and affirming what is. They were never so arrogant as to suggest that the separative ego could ever invent a way better than the way that is ‘of-itself-so’.

Always trusting in and affirming naturalness, the Taoists encouraged us to free ourselves from all the cultural and individual beliefs that limit and frustrate us. We impede our capacity to receive by holding limiting beliefs about what, when, and how we should receive.

So, be free… be open. Be willing to see yourself as a beautiful piece of the larger Universal picture.
