Connecting Under the Super Hunter’s Moon

How often do you venture out at night to look at the moon? Have you taken the time to really see the moon? Seeing goes beyond looking and observing. It involves making a deep connection and feeling it within. There is much more to the moon than meets the eye.

Preparation and Cooperation

This year, October’s full moon follows the Harvest Moon. Hence, it is known as the Full Hunter’s Moon. The name can change from year to year depending on when it takes place. The Hunter’s Moon was named by North American tribes who would use this lunar time wisely to prepare for the cold winter months ahead, in cooperation with the wisdom of Nature. Having harvested corn and grains in the weeks before, tribes and settlers would use the light of the Hunter’s Moon to hunt deer and fox while searching for fallen grain.

While most people no longer hunt and gather in the same way the ancient tribes did for survival, we can use this celestial presence to gather in a different way. Here, we stand in the moon’s presence and gather the essence of the moon through our Qigong practice. This effort can add to the quality of our entire system, which directly influences our health.

The Moon and Women’s Health

The Moon rotates on its axis every 27 days. It also travels around Earth every 27.3 days, similar to the female reproductive cycle. Ancient Qigong masters and traditional Chinese medical doctors used the moon’s energetic presence to allow the body to reset with a quality practice on the full moon. From an energetic perspective, they knew that just one day with the full moon equals the power of 30 days. Quality Qigong practice can help you jump start your own natural healing ability and maximize the benefits you feel and receive.

Align With Nature’s Messages

This year, the Full Hunter’s Moon is also the biggest and brightest supermoon we will see in 2024. The Super Hunter’s Moon will reach its peak on Thursday, October 17 at 7:26 AM EST. As such, this is the best time to tap into the potential of the full moon.

Join us for Qi Thursday. This week Master Lu will guide the group as we stand in the meditative posture The Dragon Stands Between Heaven and Earth . Connect with the moon’s powerful presence and align with the transformational energy of Autumn. To receive the Zoom link sign up for our newsletter
