A Reflection of the Truth
After a rainfall, puddles often form on the sidewalks. Many people walk past them without another thought. But if you stop and look carefully into the puddle, what shines back at you? Inside that small body of water is a reflection of everything above—your face, the sky above, and at night, the moon and the stars.
Everything and everyone around us becomes part of our reality. We see those things and those people on a daily basis. But we experience life with much more than just our eyes. We see, yes! But the visible is only a reflection of the truth. We also smell, taste, hear and touch. We can feel with our hands, our hearts and our souls. While that puddle may show you what is visible, look closer. The invisible holds immense power.
The novelist Anais Nin once said, “You do not see the world as it is. You see it as you are.” Seeing with our minds is limiting. It prevents us from truly experiencing the world on a deeper, more profound level. Close your eyes, what do you see? How does the world around you change when you see with your Heart?
