A Circle of Connectedness
Naturalist and conservationist John Muir, once said, “When we try to pick out anything by itself, we find it hitched to everything else in the universe.” Just think about those words: anything is hitched to everything. In essence, nothing in our grand universe stands on its own—the ocean relies on the moon, the flowers rely on the sun, the cows rely on the grass. All beings, even cosmic ones, rely on one another for movement, growth, and life.
This idea of connectedness runs through TCM philosophy. It is the framework upon which all of life rests and the link that binds human beings to each other and to all of Nature. This, in essence, is the message of Universal life, which is available to all who choose to embrace it. If you view yourself as a connected being—disconnected from the daily trials that exist in our individual realities, but connected to all that brings and breathes life—you have in your hands tremendous healing potential.
What role do you play in this connection? How will you harness that healing potential and apply it to your own life?
